Give It All Away


Can you take it all away?
Like you used to do?
Can you encourage me to do
What I need to?

Is this the life you dreamed?
Built on skills and duties formed
We're too tired to live our dreams
Our futures reinformed.

And everyone needs us now, yet
The world keeps turning somehow
Couldn't we just close up shop today?
Can you give it all away?

With all expected guise,
Can you look at things anew
With only freshest eyes?

Can you be very strong?
And say goodbye to what we know
Can you live a smaller life

 Can we give away riches we've acquired
That left our lives eschew
Can we leave them all behind, 
Can we bid them all adieu? 

 Let's give up our objects and things, 
Reframe our thoughts of wanting more
Unburden our stressful lives, 
We don't need them anymore!

Only Peaceful Days

No more swallowing my anger To be loved by you No more biting my tongue  To be supported by just a few.
