This song is for the dreamers
For the sensitive at play
For the artists and musicians
That teach us what words don't always say

It's for the maddening verbrato 
For the echo of the drum
For the painter's precision of the tomato
And for the defined guitarist's strum. 

It's for the singers and the songwriters 
Who put their whole soul on the line.
It's for the cartoonists and the writers 
And chef's artistry where we dine.

It's for the designers and choreographers that add beauty
And life to what we see
Its for those who choose to live 
Their lives more creatively.

Only Peaceful Days

No more swallowing my anger To be loved by you No more biting my tongue  To be supported by just a few. I tire of laying down hopelessly Waiting for the pain to go away I feel a different kind of pain Some people would say.  They say I'm over sensitive That explains what I feel They say I'm too serious,  That I'm spinning the roulette wheel.  They fail to recognize-The hate they spin With their cackling laughs I can hear what they say Behind my back, the wistful cracks, about my chubbiness, or the brains that I lack. And they do it to everyone Not just to me, they're heartless...deceiving, make you trust them, lie to your face, only to enthuse them..., What made them so mean? Everyone's got to have their rock She was that someone for me She loved to spend her time sitting Shootin the breeze And always listening She would tell us that we were her girls She always felt that way She would make the time No matter what And chuckle as she'd say: You were your mom's, And you were my girls too- I've always felt that way! I've always  felt that way. She lost her mom age eighteen Her dad died at twenty eight- She lived a life of real hard times But it never controlled her fate!
